Video Games:

I have had a lifelong passion for video games ever since I could comprehend user feedback. I enjoy the challenges each game has to offer as well as the immersion which occurs due to a beautifully created virtual world. I own, or have owned at one time, a Pong system, ATARI 2600 and 7800, NES, Genesis, SNES, PS1, N64, PS2, XBOX, GameCube, and many portable systems. I also enjoyed computer games from Montezuma's Revenge and Conan the Barbarian (on the old APPLE systems, back when floppy disks where actually floppy in outside appearance) to the recent games such as Warcraft III and Counter-Strike. This love for games eventually fueled my desire to create my own games.

Game Programming:

I've read many a book on game programming and have put together a little title of my own. I am mainly interested on the Artificial Intelligence of video games, and how it is used to trick the user into thinking the machine is 'smart'. I have attended a seminar at the University of Texas in Austin where the Artificial Intelligence Gurus lectured on how the different techniques were implemented. I've kept this as just a side hobby along with other things I enjoy to do (sports, socializing, etc...).

For anyone also interested in game programming, here are a few of my favorite educational and informative sites:

Gamasutra

GameDev.net

International Game Developers Association
