My thoughts on 2003 NBA
Finals Game 6 vs the NETS.
 |
First
of all let me start by saying that the Spurs live for the nail-biting type
of games. As in today's game, they seem to put their game faces on when
everyone least expects it fueled by someone we... well, least expect.

The officials let the teams play rough and tough all game,
which I think is fine as long as they are consistent with it the entire 48
minutes.
|

 |
I am overjoyed they let Kerr in during a respectable time to
play what looks like his last game of NBA basketball.
|

 |
Duncan, 2 blocks shy from a quadruple double, played the
game as he always does and dominated without ever even knowing his
accomplishments until someone bought it up during the NBA.COM sponsored
post-game interviews. Although boring and too quiet for some, Duncan burns with MVP
blood running through his body fueling his fundamentally sound game play.

This time, we won the 2003 NBA Champions title not with an
asterisks (as Phil Jackson put it), but an exclamation point!
